Painting
The very human and historic language of color, light, value, texture, imagery, and intensity in two dimensions.

Katie Wolff www.katiewolffstudio.com queenkatiewolff@yahoo.com![]() As a very young adult I would create a portrait of a family member about once every few years and I'm proud to say that those images will be passed from generation to generation for years to come. As an adult in San Francisco I had the opportunity to study under Thomas Leighton and have spent every free moment since in creative mode. Today, when I am not working on a commissioned painting, I PLAY at creating colorful, energetic, emotional works of art. |
Eileen Blodgett www.eileenblogett.com eileen@eileenblodgett.com![]() Painter and Fine Art Printmaker, Eileen Blodgett is resident artist and instructor at ASiF Studios in Grass Valley, California. She has studied Art on the East and West coast, as well as in Japan. She holds a B.S. In Art Education and an MA from San Francisco State, but that was just a start. Every day brings new and exciting lessons that find their way into Eileen’s art. She takes inspiration from the beautiful landscapes of the Sierra, the warmth of the people she knows, her family, the spirits of things and lives passed, and mysteries yet to be explored. “Art is footprints from the soul - and it’s never too late to take that walk.”
“I love the dimensions that the process of fine art printmaking can reveal and I have taken that process onto the canvas. Am I a painter? or a printmaker? - Who knows?” |
Margaret Lindsey, MFA www.artransforms.com m.lindsey.art@gmail.com

Why DO I make art? Why DO I teach art practices? As near as I can tell, because I must. When I paint, I log the topography of the worlds within and beyond me, using whatever media comes to hand. My finished paintings are essentially maps of my metaphysical and psycho-spiritual investigations, records of experiences along the journey. This drives the work and play that I craft for other people: I design experiences and guide people through conscious art practices and expressive art play, inviting them to discover and give form to their own uncharted terrain. All practices I offer my students and clients are creative practices I myself use.
So for me, “art” is a verb, it is a creative action taken, rather than a thing that is made. Creativity is a method of inquiry, an essential process for knowing and contemplation.
I paint in my studio in the Nevada City, CA, and show locally and internationally. I design and guide conscious art practices and expressive art programs in various settings, including graduate seminars, workplace retreats, year-long programs for youth, workshops for adults, webinars, and one-on-one mentoring sessions.

David Mooney www.davidmooneyart.com artofdavidmooney@aol.com

David Mooney is a professional artist well known for his detailed, realistic acrylic paintings which have a strong emphasis on the spiritual. He is a popular teacher and lecturer, and his paintings have won extensive awards. Last summer he served as Artist-in-Residence at Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.
David’s evocative paintings currently deal with two groups of subjects. First is American wildlife and landscapes, which he has painted for many years, especially the majestic mountains of the American west. More recently he has become inspired by the beauty and history of the British Isles. Towering cathedrals, haunting abbey ruins, mighty castles, even humble cottages, are all fodder for his artistic expression.
What runs through all David’s work is a vision of a world untouched and unspoilt by human problems. There is an atmosphere not of aloneness, but of pleasant solitude where the viewer may commune with God or nature, without intrusion or interruption. He welcomes visitors to his studio, where he gives painting workshops regularly. David, who is a classically trained violinist, is also an avid Scottish fiddling enthusiast. He and his wife enjoy fossil collecting, travel, beachcombing, and books.
