I am an award winning bead artist. Embroidered bead design is the outer most expression of my creativity. My medium is tiny seed beads and beautiful gemstones. My work is very tactile and it evolves as I work through the materials to express a treasured idea or feeling. The name of my company is Sierra Bead Art. I belong to a new generation of Bead Artists. Sherry Serafini, Heidi Kummli and Andrea Grzabka inspire me. I’m in awe as visionary bead artists expand their skills, opening new horizons in dimensional beadwork. As creativity expands, inspiration is found everywhere. I find a source of inspiration in the skies and firmament. Recently my energy was all wrapped up in capturing a specific subject. At dusk, I find my subject as a gorgeous, expansive orange cloud formation. I’m in awe of the interplay and timing. My jewelry designs feature bold, beautiful stones like polychrome jasper, larimar, peitersite, and ruby fuchsite. I embellish the stones with a variety of seed beads, crystals, pearls and silk shibori ribbon. I hope my work inspires your creativity and passion. Share your inspiration with the world! |

Curiosity and the desire to learn new things has been a mainstay of my creative life. That curiosity has sustained me (and driven me!) as I ventured down the path of discovering the joys of metal—that it is a malleable and changeable material, not just the fixed quantity I had always seen it as. Since 2013, I have been focused on the intricacies—and the joys—of jewelry making. In 2014, I discovered enamel— molten glass fused to metal—and my passion deepened! I am largely self-taught, although I have been fortunate enough to study with some truly gifted jewelers. My jewelry items are entirely handmade, and so can never be exactly reproduced. I primarily use silver, copper, and colorful vitreous enamel in my work, and I enjoy adding small gemstone cabochons to my pieces. I love the fun and approachable jewelry that results from the color of the enamels and gemstones. |

I’ve been making jewelry for almost a decade. I believe that a piece of jewelry needs to be beautiful, sensual and well made, but most of all it should make us feel good when we wear it. I specialize in working with fine silver, sterling silver, copper, bronze and gold. I welcome custom requests and will work with you to create a piece that makes you feel good. I’ve lived all over the US and now consider myself one of the lucky ones to live in this beautiful community, surrounded by mountains, rushing rivers, a strong arts community, great food and fine wine as well as my studio filled with metals, gems and lots of great tools. |

Experimenting with different materials has always been a big part of my life as I was growing up, from making simple jewelry to elaborate pictures and mirrors out of leather. Anything I could get my hands on was used in my process of making art. After finishing Graphic and Design College in Germany, I worked in a Bronze Foundry designing alphabets and working in wax and clay to create the models for the casting process. A few years ago, after getting settled in Nevada County, I took up my old old hobby of making Jewelry again, and it has been a journey for me ever since. I absolutely love working with gemstone and metal, and although I had no prior education in metal fabrication I loved the challenge and I have not looked back since. A lot of my pieces I create start as an idea and undergo an evolutionary process until I believe they are done. |

pam@pkleinjewelrydesign.com From some of my earliest memories, I remember enjoying jewelry. I was especially attracted to the ancient history of adornment which showed me that wearing jewelry is an innately human behavior – something that undeniably connects us across the globe and across the centuries. I love being a part of the world by expressing my art through such a universally understood medium. I design pieces that make use of unusual, natural gemstones; highlighting them in modern sterling silver settings. You will find themes of nature in many of my designs, especially trees, flowers, and mountains. I am attempting to showcase nature through the wonder of gemstones, the manipulation of the earth’s metals, and in the appreciation of its living things. For many years, much of that appreciation has been inspired by this gorgeous area of Northern California where I am surrounded by trees, rivers, and a wonderful community.
